After training with Westart Apiaries, many candidates across the UK now run their own bee removal services, equipped with the knowledge, and credibility to do it right.

3 Day Foundation Module in Safe Removal of Honey Bees from Buildings

​In just 3 days, you’ll gain the essential knowledge and hands-on experience needed to start offering live honey bee removal services.This foundation-level course introduces you to the bee removal industry and teaches you how to safely and legally remove colonies from buildings and structures.You’ll learn health and safety protocols, UK legislation associated with bee removal operations, bee biology, and how to use specialist equipment, including thermal imaging and vacuum-assisted tools. All tailored to real-world removal scenarios.

Dates:

April: 20th - 22nd 2026

August: 31st - September 2nd 2026

Information:

  • lunch and Refreshments on all three days is included.

  • You will need to bring a bee suit or jacket whichever you prefer to work in. You will not be able to attend the practical session without one.

2 Day Advanced Bee Removal Module: Chimneys & Walls.

Ready to take your bee removal skills to the next level?

This advanced course builds on our foundation training and gives you the specialist knowledge needed to remove honey bee colonies from chimneys, cavity walls, and other complex structures. You’ll learn how to identify potential issues during surveys, understand building materials and construction types, and apply advanced removal techniques tailored to site-specific challenges.Whether you're expanding your pest control services or handling more technical removals as a beekeeper, this course gives you the confidence and capability to work in high-risk or hard-to-access environments — safely, legally, and professionally.

April 23rd - 24th 2026

September:  3rd - 4th 2026

  • Important: You must have completed the foundation course in honey bee removal before applying to do any of the advanced courses.
